Cherokee Annual March For Babies Walk Set For April 28
The March of Dimes event, which will also include a Diaper Dash 5K, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Etowah River Park in Canton.

CANTON, GA -- Organizers behind the push to end child birth defects and premature births will hold a 5K event to raise money for their cause on Friday in Canton.
The Cherokee County March For Babies annual walk and 5K -- called the Diaper Dash 5K-- will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28 at Etowah River Park.
The annual fundraising event for March of Dimes, a national organization which works to end birth defects and premature births, will begin registration for teams, families and supporters at 5:30 pm.

The 3.2 mile out-and-back walk and 5K run follows a path from Etowah River Park to Heritage Park and doubles back to finish. This year's fundraising goal is $128,000.
Registration to participate in the 5K is $30 and can be done on site Friday. They can also register online for the race.

Woodstock Mayor and Northside Hospital Cherokee community relations representative Donnie Henriques is the chair of this year’s event.
