Cherokee County Seeks New Firefighter Recruits

Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services has opened the application process for new firefighter recuits.

Applications must be completed online by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Applications can be obtained on the county’s website.

Qualified candidates must 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED in order to qualify for full time or part-time positions.

Applicants must attend only one of the mandatory fire department orientation seminars. You will not be eligible to continue in the hiring process if you do not attend one of these sessions.

The mandatory orientation session are set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 or 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9. The orientation session will be held at the county’s Fire Training Complex, which is located at 3985 Holly Springs Parkway in Holly Springs.

All correspondence will be done through email. Candidates should receive an orientation notice email from the Human Resources Department within 72 hours of an application submission. Candidates are encouraged to check their spam and junk folders if you do not receive this notice.
