Cherokee Homecoming Parade Will Close Some Canton Streets
Cherokee High School's homecoming parade will take place Wednesday, Oct. 15.

The Canton Police Department is reminding residents and motorists of traffic delays that will occur as Cherokee High School will hold its homecoming parade this week.
The parade will start at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, and will cause delays in the area of the school and in downtown Canton.

The parade begins at the Cherokee High School and travels north on Marietta Highway. It will then turn right onto Waleska Street, continue onto West Main Street, East Main Street and loop back around to North Street. The procession will then march back onto Waleska Street, make a left onto Marietta Highway and will end at the school.
These streets along the route will be temporarily inaccessible for roughly one hour, and Canton police urge motorist to use alternative routes during the event.
