Cherokee Sheriff's Deputies Compete In Motorcycle Rodeo
Congratulations to everyone who competed.
From Cherokee Sheriff: The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office had three motor units competing in the Georgia Police and Fire Games Motorcycle Rodeo Competition this past Saturday, April 14, 2018.
There were 29 riders from 10 different agencies across the state competing in events such as Precision Run, Speed Run, Slow Ride and Partner Ride. There were eight exercises that challenged the riders in the handling of their police motorcycles. When competing in motorcycle events it pushes the deputies to their limits and it helps them to learn the limits of their skills. It also teaches them techniques to assist them in their everyday duties. This is the 11 th year that CSO has competed in the games and come away with some medals. Cpl. Ryder and Cpl. Messenger won Gold in the Partner Division. Cpl. Messenger won Bronze in the Expert Division with a Windshield. Congratulations to everyone who competed.
