Cherokee Sheriff's Office Appoints New Agency Recruiter
The Cherokee Sheriff's Office has appointed a new agency recruiter, but there are still 27 other open positions in the department.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — The Cherokee Sheriff's Office has appointed a new agency recruiter. Deputy Anthony Dissis has filled the position which has been held by Deputy Ahmad Foster for the past year.
Foster, who was presented with a Meritorious Service Award by Sheriff Frank Reynolds earlier this week for his excellent service as the agency's recruiter, is currently training to join the agency's Uniform Patrol Division.
Dissis, who has 27 years in law enforcement, joined the agency in 2017 after retiring from the Indian River Sheriff's Office in Florida. Dissis has experience in uniform patrol, detention, investigations, narcotics, forensics and training.
