A Code Orange Alert means air quality forecast will be unhealthy for sensitive groups, such as older adults, children, and those who suffer from heart or lung conditions (including asthma), according to Georgia Commute Options.

Those groups of residents will want to “limit prolonged outdoor exertion during the late afternoon or early evening when ozone concentrations are highest,” NWS said in its alert.
