Coffee With A Cop Set For Saturday

CANTON, GA -- If you still haven't had a chance to engage with the Canton Police Department in an informal setting, an event scheduled for Saturday morning could be the perfect opportunity to meet your neighborhood beat cop.

The agency's next Coffee with a Cop event will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Cup Up Coffee, which is located at 210 East Main Street in downtown Canton.

This initiative allows police and citizens to connect, engage and build important, trusting relationships that are "vital to the quality of life for everyone in the community," the agency said.

"The events bring our officers and the public together in a very relaxed and informal environment to talk transparently about issues that we face in our community," said Police Chief Mark Mitchell. "I want to thank our citizens and their support and feedback, which greatly assist us in providing better police services to those we serve. Additionally, this time together also 'humanizes the badge' to both adults and children, and our hope is our citizens will see that we truly care about them, their quality of life and what goes on in our city."

Cup Up Coffee is located inside Audio Intersection.
