Creekview Reading Bowl Team Wins Divisionals, Heads To State
The team won the Division One Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl competition, outscoring the North, West and Metro Regions' top teams.
From CCSD: Creekview High School’s Reading Bowl team won Divisionals and now is headed to the State Championships!
The team won the Division One Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl competition, outscoring the North, West and Metro Regions’ top teams in the literary knowledge competition, to advance to the State Championships on March 24 at the University of Georgia. The team placed second in the State last school year.
The team, coached by Anne Thiers and Liana Howard, began its path to State this school year by winning first place at the CCSD competition and then at Regions. Team members are: Alyssa Auten, Gillian Brown, Caitlin Canfield, Jack Eno, Abby Gallagher, Grace Godwin, Kelsey Henson, Alex Kaye, Emily McGhee and Tori Padgett.
