The Grizzlies hosted Northview in what would become another close victory on Friday night.
Creekview struck early to get things started. Northview had the first possession of the night, but on second down, the ball was intercepted on about the 30 yard line by Dawson Ewers (4) and scored the pick 6. Ben McClellan (89) would get the extra point to make it 7-0.
The Titans would answer back with about 5 minutes left in the first quarter to tie it up.
RB Isaiah Rodgers (27) would score next. After a long run that took him to the 3 yard line, QB Kyle Wilkie (10) handed off to Rodgers again for the score. The Ben McClellan extra point was good to go ahead 14-7 with a little over 6 minutes left in the half.
Northside answered back with a long run on a missed tackle to score a TD. The game was tied at 14 with 4:30 left in the half.
Not to be outdone, RB Connor Dulmage (5) returned the kickoff to the 30 of the Titans. The Grizzlies would eventually score on a Kyle Wilkie strike to Connor Dulmage with just a little less than 3 minutes remaining in the half to bring the score to 21-14 Grizzlies.
A late field goal attempt by Northview was no good. At halftime, Creekview was up 21-14.
The Titans would be the first team to score in the second half. With about 6 minutes remaining, they would get a breakaway run followed up by a touchdown from short yardage to tie things up at 21.
Late in the 3rd quarter, the Grizzlies would get another interception, but were unable to capitalize on it. Fortunately, the defense held causing the Titans to punt. With 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Kyle Wilkie would strike again with a TD pass to Connor Dulmage. The Ben McClellan extra point would be good to put Creekview up 28-21.
Connor Dulmage was not done yet though. He would intercept a Titans pass and run it back for his third touchdown of the evening. The Ben McClellan extra point would go through the uprights to put Creekview up 35-21.
With no other options, late in the 4th quarter, Northside would go for it on 4th and 12 to go in Creekview territory. They would score on a pass to the end zone to close the gap to 35-28 with 4:22 remaining.
After a long possession by the Titans in a last effort to tie the game, the Grizzlies would take over on downs with 31 seconds left and run out the clock for a victory.
