The deputies were recognized at Tuesday’s Cherokee County Commission meeting, which was held in Canton.

Sergeant David Barone and Deputy Michael Owens received Life Saving Awards. Lieutenant Jeanette Vetter and Corporal Alex Azaroff received Sheriff’s Commendation Awards.

Sergeant William Thompson received an Employee Sustained Superior Performance Award.

Sheriff Roger Garrison presented the deputies the awards in front of county commissioners and residents who attended the meeting.
