Dumpster Days Return Aug. 12 In Canton
The event, which is for city residents only, allows you to dispose of trash, recycle electronics and get rid of various bulky items.

CANTON, GA -- An event designed to allow residents to help clean up Canton will be held this weekend. The next installment of Dumpster Days is set for Saturday, Aug. 12 at Canton City Hall.
From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents can dispose of trash, various unwanted items, up to 10 tires per person and recycle many electronics for free. The event is coordinated by the Canton Police Department with the help of the city's Public Works Department, Waste Management and volunteers from Revolution Church.
“This program is an excellent example of how partnerships and working together can make a huge impact on our community," said Canton Police Chief Mark Mitchell. "I cannot commend our officers, Waste Management, the city Public Works Department and our volunteers enough for their dedication, effort and passion with this project. Furthermore, the combined focus and work to clean up these parts of our community will go a long way toward reducing the potential for criminal activity which greatly increases the quality of life for the citizens we serve.”
