Dumpster Days Return July 15 In Canton
Residents will be able to recycle electronics and get rid of unwanted items from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Canton City Hall.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department is gearing up to host another installment of its popular Dumpster Days event.
Residents can venture over to Canton City Hall from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15 to dispose of trash and other unwanted items lying around the home or stashed away in some dark corner.
Please note up to 10 tires per resident and many electronics will be accepted free of charge. Participants are asked to bring proof of residency, as the initiative is available to only those who reside within the city limits.

“This program is an excellent example of how partnerships and working together can make a huge impact on our community," said Canton Police Chief Mark Mitchell. "I cannot commend our officers, Waste Management, the city Public Works Department and our volunteers enough for their dedication, effort and passion with this project. Furthermore, the combined focus and work to clean up these parts of our community will go a long way toward reducing the potential for criminal activity which greatly increases the quality of life for the citizens we serve.”

- Computers and laptops
- Gaming consoles (PS2, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.)
- VCR/DVD players
- Stereo equipment
- Vacuum cleaners
- Microwave/toasters/toaster ovens
- Hair dryers; curling irons
- Tools
- Wires and cables (all types)
- Phones (cellphones and home phone systems)
- Printers/fax machines
- Washers/dryers
A $10 fee will be charged to collect CRT TV or older tube-style TVs or computer monitors.
Please do not bring:
- Refrigerators
- Fuel tanks
- Motor oil
- Fuel drums
- Household hazardous waste
- Antifreeze
- Paint
- Paint thinners
- Pesticides
- Pool chemicals
- Commercial waste
