Earth Day Recycling Event Comes To Canton
The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce will host the event, which allows residents to shred documents and recycle electronics.

CANTON, GA -- The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce next week will host a recycling event for local residents.

The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 22 at the Chamber's parking lot at 3605 Marietta Highway in Canton.
The event will be held in conjunction with Earth Day and in partnership with Autumn Hill Nursery, Next Step Ministries, North Metro Waste, SAFE KIDS Cherokee County, Premier Surplus and Georgia Document Destruction, Inc.

The community will have a chance to recycle aluminum drink cans, smart phones, cell phones, used gardening pots/containers, car seats and electronics. Document and file destruction will also be available (shredding will be limited to six archive-size boxes).
This is a rain or shine event, and while it's free, a $25 fee will be charged for television recycling.
Items that will be accepted include: tlecommunications equipment, backup battery powered systems, desktop and laptop computers, mainframes, typewriters, monitors, toner cartridges, fax machines and copiers, networking equipment, lab and medical equipment, scanners and printers, cardboard, plastics and metals.
