A chapter branch of the ACFW, the voice of Christian fiction, is forming in northwest Georgia. The first meeting will be held in the old Methodist church in downtown Canton. This quaint historic building is now the home of the Cherokee County Arts Council.
ACFW serves as an advocate in the traditional publishing industry. Its mission is to promote Christian fiction by developing the skills of its authors, and educating them in the market. With over 2000 members nationwide, this group offers a variety of services and benefits to members in an effort to fulfill this mission and encourage its writers to move forward.
The public is invited to attend, door prizes will be awarded.

Maggie Brendan will serve as guest speaker. Maggie is a CBA bestselling author and a member of the American Christian Writers (ACW), the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), RWA (Romance Writers of America) and GRW (Georgia Romance Writers). She was a recipient of the 2004 ACW Persistence Award in Atlanta.
Maggie will speak on “The Value of Christian Fiction.”
