Etowah River Clean Up & Drug Take Back!

We are cleaning up the banks of the Etowah to keep it safe and clean for all of us to enjoy. 
Suggested items to have or bring:  Old shoes, long pants &
long-sleeved shirts or clothes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty;heavy work gloves (optional) some gloves will be
provided but heavier gloves are useful for pulling and carrying larger items,such as tires and will protect against glass or sharps. Please, NO FLIP FLOPS or Open-toed shoes.  You may encounter mosquitoes or yellow jackets, so be prepared.  We will have first aid materials.   

There will be breakfast items, snacks and water
provided in the morning. After the clean-up lunch (consisting of hot dogs, chips and drinks) will be provided for all volunteers. This is the first time we are offering the Drug Take-Back Program.  Please bring your un-used medicines to be disposed of properly.  Let's keep those drugs out of our river and our drinking water supply!
