
Reinhardt University's Department of Athletics will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony next Saturday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. for the Athletic Field House. This event is taking place in conjunction with Reinhardt's Fall Family & Alumni Weekend.
Groundbreaking took place Jan. 24, 2012. Just over nine months later, a new, 22,000 square foot facility will open, featuring a 4,800 square foot state-of-the-art weight room, locker rooms, offices, and meeting rooms for Reinhardt's baseball, softball, men's soccer, women's soccer, and brand-new football teams.
Participants in the ceremony include Reinhardt president Dr. J. Thomas Isherwood, Director of Athletics Bill Popp, Bill Hasty of the RU Board of Trustees, head football coach Danny Cronic, head men's soccer coach Dan Farnham, and head women's soccer coach Andy Kaplan.

Reinhardt's soccer teams will be in action later that day, with the women taking on Virginia Intermont at 2 p.m. and the men facing VIC at 4 p.m.
