The Cherokee County History Museum is hosting the exhibit, which provides an overview of Cherokee County’s environment and shows the visitor the progression of historic sites through the years.
The exhibit focuses on preservation, highlighting both the sites that have been saved and those that have been lost around the County, and educating the public about available preservation tools. The exhibit will remain open through Jan. 30, 2016.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation campaign called This Place Matters encourages the public to share photos on social media in front of a place of significance to them.
We ask visitors to this exhibit to participate and post their photos to Cherokee County Historical Society’s Facebook page using the hashtags #thisplacematters and #preservecherokee.
The museum, located at 100 North Street Suite 140, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. For more information, visit www.rockbarn.org or call 770-345-3288.
