Forum For Cherokee School Board Candidates Set for Thursday
The eight candidates running in the May 20 Republican primary have been invited to participate.
A forum for the eight candidates running in the May 20 Republican primary for the Cherokee County School Board will be held on Thursday evening in downtown Canton.
The forum, sponsored by the Cherokee County Republican Women's group, will start at 6:15 p.m. at the Cherokee County Historic Courthouse. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
The historic courthouse is at 100 North Street.
Candidates who are slated to participate include:
District 3
John Arlen Harmon, Republican
Brett Ladd, Republican
District 4
Robert "Rick Steiner" Rechsteiner (incumbent), Republican
Robert H. Strozier, Republican
District 5
Clark Menard, Republican
Erica Williams, Republican
District 6
Mike Chapman, Republican
Susan Tlacil, Republican
The forum will be moderated by John Marinko and questions can be submitted to ccrwc@comcast.net in advanced. Question cards will also be available for residents before the forum gets underway.
