Have Coffee With Canton Officers On Feb. 24 at Starbucks

Friday's event will be held at the coffee chain's store on Cumming Highway.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department's next Coffee with a Cop installment will be held Friday afternoon at Starbucks.

The popular event will run from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 24 at the coffee shop at 2030 Cumming Highway.

Coffee with a Cop allows officers and citizens to connect and build important relationships that are vital to improving the quality life of Canton citizens and stakeholders.

“We strongly believe Coffee with a Cop has become one of the most important monthly programs that we are involved in that is essential to us connecting with the citizens we serve," Chief Mark Mitchell said. "Given the current tense environment in our nation between communities and law enforcement, we feel this program helps to build a foundation of trust with each segment of our community and continues to grow a very positive culture between our hard working department and this great city."

Mitchell also expressed his gratitude for those who've already offered their support and feedback, which helps the agency "humanize the badge" for both adults and children.
