Holiday, Food Vendors Needed for March of the Toys Parade

The city of Ball Ground is looking for Christmas vendors and food vendors to participate in the 2014 March of the Toys Parade for Toys for Tots.

Christmas-related vendors are been sought for the evening of Dec. 5 at the old warehouse located across from City Park on Old Dawsonville Road.

The parade will take place at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3.

An 8 X 8 foot space in the old warehouse is available for $25 each and spaces are limited. Those interested in renting a space can contact Elaine Gay at minnie4@etcmail.com or (770) 378-5963. Food vendors are also being sought for the large Christmas event, too.

Organizations, businesses, schools and individuals are being asked to help kick-off the 2014 Christmas Season by participating in the March of the Toys Parade for Toys for Tots. This year’s Grand Marshal of the parade will be Diana Goodman who appeared on the television series Hee Haw. This Hee Haw Honey also dated Elvis Pressley in 1975.

Last year’s Christmas parade was one of the largest in north Georgia. This will also be Santa and Mrs. Claus’ first official appearance in the city.

Line up for the parade will take place at the old Ball Ground Elementary School. Attendees to the parade will be asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.
