Holly Springs Active Shooter Seminar Set For Thursday

HOLLY SPRINGS, GA -- On Thursday, March 24, the Holly Springs Police Department is offering a free educational session for the general public on how to prepare for and respond to an active shooter event that could lead to catastrophic consequences.

The Civilian Response To Active Shoot Events, or CRASE, seminar will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Holly Springs.

American law enforcement has the quickest response times in the world. However, a killer can wreak great havoc before help arrives.

At this CRASE seminar, you will learn several simple steps that could help you survive such an event. Doors will open to the general public at 6:30 p.m. and seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parental guidance is greatly encouraged, as parts of the material may be disturbing to sensitive viewers.

C.R.A.S.E. is a course developed by ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training) Center at Texas State University and is now presented nationwide.
