Holly Springs Wins Budget Award

The City of Holly Springs' 2018 budget received a rating of "proficient" in all four of the listed categories.

From The City of Holly Springs: The City of Holly Springs is proud to announce that it has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its 2018 budget. City Manager/Finance Director Robert H. Logan was presented with the award, along with a Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation.

From GFOA, “The award represents a significant achievement by the entity. It reflects the commitment of the governing body and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the entity had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide, and a communications device.” The City of Holly Springs’ 2018 budget received a rating of “proficient” in all four of the listed categories, and in the fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories.

The City also received this award for its 2010-2017 budgets.
