ICYMI: Canton, Cherokee County Food Service Scores

The Cherokee County Environmental Health Department conducted food service inspections Sept. 7-14 at the following establishments:

Eagle Watch Golf Club (Food Service Inspections)

Hardee's (Food Service Inspections)*
2075 TOWNE LAKE PKWY WOODSTOCK, GA 30189

• Active managerial control measures are not satisfactory for establishment to be in compliance with code. Persons in charge, managers or CFSM must be properly trained or retrained
• Observed food-contact surfaces not cleaned after being contaminated. Observed interior of microwave soiled.
• Chemicals should be stored away from food items & containers.
• Observed food (2 buckets) stored on the floor of the walk-in cooler.
• Observed ice scoop with handle in contact with ice.
• Observed wiping cloths not air-dried, and stored in a improper location.
• Observed the door handle and the gasket around it was in poor repair on the walk-in freezer.
• Observed food and grease debris accumulated on the floor through-out the kitchen.
• Observed all of the hooded ventilation system must be clean as evidenced of grease accumulation.

• Establishment must have someone on staff certified in food safety.
• Observed cold slaw in the walk-in cooler stored uncovered and subject to contamination. Must ensure all foods are stored covered for protection.
• Observed frozen chicken being thawed in a bucket of water. Management discarded.
• Observed no copy of latest inspection report, certified food safety or food permit posted in full view for proper display.
• Observed floors in kitchen and all of the walk-ins were soiled with an accumulation of food debris.

Los Bravos (Food Service Inspections)*

• Observed the hand sink in the grill area lacked paper towels. Must provide towels for hand sink. Corrected On-Site.
• Observed hamburgers stored in the standing freezer uncovered and subject to contamination. Corrected On-Site.
• Observed back door not close completely, therefore, there are a number of flies in the facility. Take necessary steps to eliminate flies.
