A vehicle roofing company that’s only been up and running for less than two years in Cherokee County already has its sights set on expanding.
Inalfa Roof Systems has announced plans to add a 52,500-square-foot new facility to create a corporate campus within the Cherokee 75 Corporate Park, the Cherokee Office of Economic Development said Wednesday on its Facebook page.

The news was announced during Wednesday’s 2015 State of the County address, sponsored by the Council for Quality Growth. That presentation, made by Cherokee County Commission Chairman Buzz Ahrens, can be viewed online.
In February 2014, Inalfa announced it would expand its 165,000-square-foot regional headquarters by 45,000 square feet, create an additional 100 jobs and invest an additional $6 million.
The company in 2013 announced plans to create 300 jobs with their move to Cherokee County and invest $28 million into the new regional headquarters. Its announcement to come to Cherokee County was named the Deal of the Year by the Georgia Economic Developers Association.
An official grand opening ceremony was held in October to celebrate Inalfa’s launch in Cherokee. Around 250 people currently work for Inalfa in Cherokee County, and the company said it hopes to increase that number beyond 400 by 2016.
The Cherokee plant currently produces roof systems for BMW, Ford and Nissan programs. In 2015, Inalfa said it plans to add GM business and glass encapsulation capabilities to its operations.
