The store was open for business, but no customers were inside at the time of the incident, Baker added.

The employee was able to flee through the back door of the building when the suspect jumped over the counter.

Police say the suspect is described as a heavy set black male who was wearing a morph suit and plaid shirt.

While at the cash register, the suspect briefly raised the mask covering his face, but remained in a crouched position inside the restaurant before fleeing through the rear door, the agency said.

Detectives are asking the public to help them crack this case. Anyone with information related to the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at that time is asked to call 770-928-0239.
