Leadership Cherokee Nominations Sought For Class Of 2018
The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominees for Leadership Cherokee 2018, a program that began in 1987.
CANTON-SIXES, GA - From the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce: The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is currently accepting nominations for the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2018. Sponsored each year by the Chamber, Leadership Cherokee boasts more than 600 graduates since the program’s inception in 1987. “Leadership Cherokee produces experienced leaders for business, civic and political roles in our community,” stated Bryan Reynolds, Director of the Cherokee Recreation & Parks Agency and 2017 Chamber Chair.
“Monthly programs for the Leadership Cherokee Class of 2018 will include a variety of topics
such as education, justice, infrastructure, public safety, healthcare, government tourism, social services
and economic development,” said Jennifer Stanley or Northside Hospital-Cherokee and Incoming Chair
of the 2018 Leadership Cherokee program.
Nominations for the prestigious Leadership Cherokee program will be accepted through
October 1st. Following an application and interview process, the class – which varies in size each year -
will be chosen in November. Cost for this nine-month program that begins in January 2018 and
concludes in September 2018, is $750 for Chamber members and $950 for future Chamber members.
