Scheduled for April 18-29, the statewide initiative is a friendly competition among Georgia law firms, law schools and legal organizations to support the eight regional food banks in Georgia.

More than 60 percent of Georgia’s public school children are eligible for free and reduced lunch. The Legal Food Frenzy provides a much needed supply of food, and funds to food banks to help the families of those kids during summer months when schools are closed.

This year's goal is to collect 1.3 million pounds of food for the regional food banks.

The Legal Food Frenzy is timed to help meet that demand. The local office is collecting both food and monetary donations. Donations can come in the form of non-perishable food items or funds.

Just $1 will provide 4 pounds of food. If your business or firm is interested in participating, contact the Office of the District Attorney and speak with Katherine Racz or Ashton Murphy at 770-479-1488.
