Local Scouting Volunteers Honored at Annual Banquet
The Appalachian Trail District Banquet was held Dec. 3 at Canton First United Methodist Church.
Recently, several adult leaders in Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout Packs throughout Cherokee and Pickens counties were recognized for their dedication and efforts at the Appalachian Trail District Banquet.
This annual banquet was held Dec. 3 at Canton First United Methodist Church.
During the program, district leaders presented several awards, including the Trailblazer and SparkPlug awards. The recipients of these awards are volunteer leaders that are selected by the scouts and adults for their contributions to scouting. It is the volunteers, such as these leaders, that keep their units moving forward throughout the year and go above and beyond to deliver the scouting program.
