Man Charged With Threatening To Kill Police Officers
A Facebook post allegedly made by the 21-year-old said he would make officers second guess their careers as their "lungs filled with blood."

CANTON, GA -- A Cherokee County man has been charged with threatening to kill police officers.
Canton police have arrested Chase Adcock, 21, and charged him with terroristic threats and acts stemming from an incident reported to police on Friday, May 13.
According to the agency, a resident informed an officer with the Woodstock Police Department of a post Adcock allegedly made on his Facebook page.

The post, Canton police say, included the phrase, "die pigs," and that the poster "did not care who was an officer because he would unload on officers and make them second guess their careers when they 'die as their lungs filled with blood from a Saturday night special'," according to the agency.
With the help of Woodstock and Holly Springs police, officers learned Adcock lived within the Canton city limits. They eventually tracked him down at the Canton Paw Park on Juniper Street.

Adcock was quickly detained and interviewed by detectives, who subsequently charged the 21-year-old.
"I would like to thank the citizens, the Woodstock Police Department and the Holly Springs Police Department for their assistance with this investigation," said Canton Police Chief Mark Mitchell. "We take threats like this very seriously. I am grateful that we were able to bring a quick and safe resolution to this matter without harm coming to any law enforcement personnel who faithfully serve this community and the citizens of Cherokee County."
Adcock remains held on a $11,200 bond at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said.
