Marietta Man Charged In Fatal Canton Crash

CANTON, GA — A Marietta man is facing multiple charges in connection with a fatal crash in March on Interstate 575 north, south of the Riverstone Parkway northbound off-ramp, Canton Police said.

Police say Kevin Phyfe was arrested Friday and was released on bond the next day. He was charged on suspicion of reckless driving, driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, serious injury by vehicle and first-degree homicide by vehicle, police said.

In late March, police said a white Chevrolet Silverado truck and a blue Honda Accord suffered extensive damage after the Silverado crashed head-on with the Accord. Police said the truck was traveling southbound on the northbound off-ramp at the time of the crash.

Sebastian Alonzo Domingo was the occupant of the Accord and died at the scene, police said. The driver of the Accord suffered serious injuries and is recovering at home, police said. Phyfe suffered serious injuries in the crash, police said.
