Masked Armed Robber Takes Cash From Gas Station: Police

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is investigating the armed robbery reported Sunday at Homer's in Free Home.

CANTON, GA -- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery reported early Sunday afternoon at a gas station in the Free Home community. Deputies were dispatched to Homer's at 12099 Cumming Highway around 12:09 p.m. Oct. 8.

They arrived at the store and met with an attendant, who said a male entered the store, brandished a black handgun and demanded money from the register, the sheriff's office said Monday.

The male subject is between 5 feet, 5 inches and 5 feet, 7 inches tall with an average build. He was captured on surveillance cameras wearing a gray hoodie with an emblem on the front and a motorcycle on the back, possibly with an insignia that reads “West Coast Choppers."

He was also wearing dark pants and gray shoes as well as a mask, sunglasses and gloves to conceal his identity. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 9-1-1 or the Cherokee Sheriff's Office's Criminal Investigation Division at 770-928-0239.
