Chris Chandler, 52, of the Free Home Community, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016, at his residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Hightower Baptist Church with Rev. Gerral Richards and Dr. George Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Lovelaceville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home.
Chris graduated from Cherokee High School's class of ’81 and was a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in journalism and minor in graphic design. Chris started his company Chandler Graphics in 1986 and was a member of The Thrillhammers band for over 30 years where he enjoyed writing, producing and performing music.

He was a member of Hightower Baptist Church and beloved coach for over 10 years of the Lady Shooter’s Travel Basketball Team and Free Home Recreation League. Chris was a loving husband, father, son and brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Edna Chandler; father-in-law, Bobby Croft.
Survivors include his wife of over 24 years, Pam Chandler; daughters, Aly Chandler and Sydney Chandler; brother, Gehrig (Janet) Chandler; nephew, Jarrod Chandler; niece, Kristin (Paul) Mayer; great-nephew, Ethan Chandler; great-niece, Makaela Mayer; mother-in-law, Annette Croft; sister-in-law, Kim Maddox; niece, Brandi Maddox; nephew, Zachary Maddox; great-niece Ella Maddox; a host of cousins and many special friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to www.teamdraft.org to fight for and support cancer fighters and their families.
