Miscarriage occurs when a pregnancy is lost shortly after implantation, resulting in bleeding that occurs around the time of her expected period. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), miscarriage is the most common type of pregnancy loss. Studies reveal that anywhere from 10-25% of all clinically recognized pregnancies will end in miscarriage. As anyone who has experienced this knows, there can be lots of anger, sadness and doubt following a miscarriage. In the following video, Ashley opens up about her experience.
Ashley, a patient of Dr. Litrel's, knows the heartache of miscarriage all too well. In this video, she talks with Dr. Litrel about her experience in the hopes that her insight and bravery will help others who have or will suffer a miscarriage in the future.
