The train club’s focus is American Flyer S gauge trains and newer S gauge manufacturers. S Scale is one of the oldest model railroading scales. The most famous S Scale manufacturer in America was the American Flyer trains that were made by the A. C. Gilbert Company who started manufacturing the trains around 1939. A.C. Gilbert’s improvements in 1:64 modeling and promotions of S gauge largely shaped the world of 1:64 railroad modeling today.

The model train layout will feature numerous trains running at one time. The scenic layout will have buildings, bridges, a train yard, vehicles and figures.
