Poker Run Helps Canton Seniors in Need
Riders are needed to participate in Saturday's poker run, which raises money for the Cherokee County Volunteer Aging Council.

A poker run has been scheduled to raise money for the Cherokee County Volunteer Aging Council. The run, which is in need of riders, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18.
Registration is $20 per rider, $5 per passenger and $5 for ”extra hands.” Registration for the ride will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Jump Kitchen, which is located at 1085 Buckhead Crossing in Woodstock.

The ride is scheduled to begin at noon and will make five stops: Watson’s Motor Cycle Garage at 1061 Marietta Road, Canton; Rocco’s Pub at 47 Mountain Village Parkway, Jasper; Sweet Escapes at 9776 East Cherokee Drive, Canton; Bikers Dream of Atlanta at 5960 Atlanta Highway in Alpharetta; and will end at Jump Kitchen.
All bikers are expected to return to Jump Kitchen around 3:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will raise funds for the aging council, which is the fundraising arm for Cherokee County Senior Services. The council supports county programs such as Meals on Wheels and the ‘Last Stop’ Emergency Fund.
