A be-on-the-lookout alert was given for Devonte Scott, 20, who allegedly stabbed his older brother at the home they share with their mother, Baker said.
A sheriff’s deputy located Devonte Scott’s vehicle traveling along Belletta Drive in unincorporated Canton, conducted a traffic stop and took the younger brother into custody.
Baker said at the time of his arrest, Devonte Scott had a “significant amount of blood on his clothing” and a small amount of marijuana in his possession. The brother allegedly told deputies the altercation “was over money and drugs,” Baker stated.
Derrious Scott was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Devonte Scott is charged with aggravated assault and is being held without bond at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
