Police Seek Truck Carrying Yellow Paint That Spilled Onto Roadway

Canton police say the five-gallon bucket of paint fell off the bed of the truck Wednesday on Butterworth Road at Marietta Highway.

CANTON, GA -- The Canton Police Department is looking for a pickup truck carrying a bucket of paint that tumbled onto the roadway near a busy intersection.

The older model Chevrolet or GMC truck was traveling along Butterworth Road at Marietta Highway when a five-gallon bucket of paint fell from the bed of the truck onto the road.

The incident was reported around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 23 and "numerous citizens were unable to avoid the spill and splashed yellow paint on their vehicles," the agency said on its Facebook page (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. City public works crews were able to clean up the paint from the roadway.
