Two of those stores are in Canton: Dairy Queen at 2761 Marietta Highway and the DQ/Orange Julius at 147 Reinhardt College Parkway Suite 1. Customers who visited the stores in Canton between Tuesday, Aug. 5 and Sunday, Aug. 31 could have had their sensitive information compromised.
A complete list of stores impacted can be found on DQ’s website.

Once it learned of the issue, DQ conducted an “extensive investigation” and worked closely with franchise owners to assess the nature and scope of the breach. It was able to determine that “a third-party vendor’s compromised account credentials were used to access systems at some locations.”
“We are committed to working with and supporting our affected DQ and Orange Julius franchise owners to address this incident,” said John Gainor, president and CEO of International Dairy Queen. “Our customers continue to be our top priority.”
The company is offering free identity repair services to anyone impacted by the breach during the aforementioned time period.
Customers impacted by the breach can visit DQ’s website to determine what steps they need to take to protect themselves.
Dairy Queen’s announcement comes on the heels of UPS and Jimmy John’s also reporting possible security breaches at some of its locations.
