Canton Police Investigate Report Of Shots Fired At Apartment Complex (UPDATED)

Several individuals have been taken into custody for questioning. No injuries or damage to property have been reported at this time.

CANTON, GA -- Canton police detectives continue to question witnesses in connection to a report of shots being fired at an apartment complex Thursday afternoon on the southern side of the city. Officers were dispatched around 3:15 p.m. Oct. 5 to the call made at Alexander Ridge Apartments Homes on Ridge Road near Marietta Highway.

The police department said the report came from a caller who said the shots came from inside an apartment breezeway. Several witnesses were located and taken into custody for questioning at the police department, and no damage to property or injuries have been noted "as far as we can tell at this time," the police department added.
