Program Explores History Of Georgia's Marble Industry

he event is free and open to the public and will cover the history of Georgia's marble industry.

From Cherokee County Historical Society: Join the Cherokee County Historical Society for a night of history about Georgia marble and the influence it has maintained locally and globally. The new president of the Marble Valley Historical Society, Bill Cagle, will cover the history of Georgia marble from its use in construction, buildings, and monuments to everyday items in your medicine cabinet. The History of Georgia Marble will take place at the historic Rock Barn at 658 Marietta Highway in Canton. The event is free and open to the public.
