Rabies Clinic Set For April 14 In Cherokee County
The annual clinic will be held at nine elementary schools at various times throughout the day.

CANTON, GA — The local 4-H club and Cherokee County Environmental Health Department will team up next weekend for its annual rabies clinic. This year's one-day event will be held on Saturday, April 14 at various elementary schools around the county.
The 2018 dates and locations are:

- R. M. Moore Elementary School, 1375 Puckett Road, Waleska
- Hickory Flat Elementary School, 2755 East Cherokee Drive, Canton
- Oak Grove Elementary School, 6118 Woodstock Road, Acworth
11:15 a.m.
- Clayton Elementary School, 221 Upper Burris Road, Canton
- Woodstock Elementary School (back parking lot), 230 Rope Mill Road, Woodstock
- Sixes Elementary School, 20 Ridge Road, Canton
2 p.m.

- Ball Ground Elementary School, 321 Valley Street, Ball Ground
- Holly Springs Elementary School, 1965 Hickory Road, Canton
- Knox Elementary School, 151 River Bend Way, Canton
The clinics will be held in the school's parking lots for one hour, and vaccines will be limited and subjected to availability on a first-come, first-serve basis. The fee is $10, and the methods of payment accepted will be cash and checks only. For safety reasons, residents are asked to leave their animals in their vehicles when they visit for their vaccines.

Participants do not have to live in Cherokee County to take advantage of this service. The annual clinic is a community service project sponsored by the 4-H Club and the Environmental Health Department. Proceeds will benefit Cherokee County 4-H events, scholarships and professional development initiatives.
