Rape Suspect Wanted By Cherokee Sheriff's Office
The sheriff's office said Domingo Vargas-Bautista is wanted for a crime that occurred in the Canton area over the last several months.
CANTON, GA -- The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is searching for a 32-year-old Canton man wanted on at least one count of rape.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Domingo Vargas-Bautista, who is described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He is also 5'4'' tall and weighs 160 pounds.
The sheriff's office notes Vargas-Bautista, a Mexican national, has family ties in Duluth and also has a valid passport.

The alleged crime Vargas-Bautista is wanted for occurred in the last several months in the Canton area, the agency added. Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley said Vargas-Bautista could face more charges as the investigation continues.
