Recycle Electronics, Dump Trash On Nov. 4 In Canton

The city will host its next installment of its Dumpster Days initiative on Saturday at City Hall.

CANTON, GA -- Canton is gearing up to host the next installment of its free city cleanup day on Saturday, Nov. 4. Dumpster Days will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at City Hall, providing a great opportunity for residents to dispose of trash and various unwanted items, recycle many electronics and get rid of up to 10 tires per person.

The service is provided free of charge, and is for Canton residents only. You are asked to bring proof of residency to take advantage of the initiative.

Items that will be accepted include:

  • computers/laptops
  • gaming systems (PS2, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.)
  • VCR/DVD players
  • stereo equipment
  • vacuum cleaners
  • hair dryers and curling irons
  • tools
  • wires and cables of all types
  • phones, including mobile phones and home phone systems
  • printers/fax machines
  • washers/dryers, dishwashers and other home appliances (excluding refrigerators)
  • Sofas and mattresses
  • dry paint

Please do not bring:

  • CRT TVs or monitors (old style tube TVs or computer monitors)
  • refrigerators
  • fuel tanks
  • motor oil
  • fuel drums
  • household hazardous waste
  • antifreeze
  • wet paint
  • paint thinners
  • pesticides
  • pool chemicals
  • commercial waste

If you are unable to make the Nov. 4 event, future Dumpster Days are scheduled for Dec. 2, Jan. 6, 2018, Feb. 3, 2018, and March 3, 2018.
