Registration Center Opened For New Cherokee Schools Students

The center will be operated by Cherokee Schools' Office of Technology & Information Services from June 10–28 and July 8-12.

CANTON, GA — The Cherokee County School District is beginning a new service for families registering students for school.

The Centralized Summer Registration Center will allow parents to complete the process for registering students - in any grade who will be new to Cherokee County Schools for the 2019-20 school year - early in the summer break, rather than waiting for school front offices to reopen.

“Following the success this past year of our online registration system, this center is the next step in improving customer service for new students’ families,” Superintendent of Schools Brian Hightower said. “If you’ve just moved to Cherokee County or are the parent of a preschooler headed to kindergarten, we know you’re already very busy. We hope this center will make it easier to check an important item off your to-do list.”

After using Cherokee Schools' easy New Student Gateway online registration system at home, which takes about 15 minutes to complete, parents will bring their legally required documents to the center for verification to finish the process.

The center will be operated by the district's Office of Technology & Information Services from June 10–28 and July 8-12 at its Educational Services Annex, 1020 Keeter Road in Canton near I-575 exit 14. Appointments will be available, but walk-ins also are welcome between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. The center will close when school front offices reopen on July 12.
