Resident: Brandon Beach Offers "Real Solutions" For Cherokee Voters
Beach is facing a primary challenge from Milton resident Aaron Barlow.

Editor's note: the following is a letter to the editor.
---
State senate candidate Aaron Barlow wants to bring Communist-China-style slave labor conditions to drive local job growth. I kid you not!

He recently bragged in a Cherokee Tribune article about how good the regulations his company operates under in China would be for our district.
Asian countries pay workers as little as 60 cents an hour, with working conditions so severe that employees have jumped to their death rather than work for business owners in China. We all know that these “race to the bottom” economic policies that Barlow is promoting have only brought us massive job losses and falling middle-class wages.

Brandon Beach, our current state senator, has instead focused on stimulating our economy by fixing our crumbling infrastructure and expanding our transportation options. For example, Senator Beach led the fight to fund the road projects needed to complete the new Northside Hospital complex. These projects will create local job opportunities, shorten commutes, and increase economic activity in our county.
Senator Beach fought to allow parents and doctors to make medical decisions for their families, instead of bureaucrats, lobbyists, and politicians. He supported the use of cannabis oil for medical reasons. His opponent, Barlow, pretended he was a scientist, claiming he somehow understood the issue better than you and your doctor.
Finally, Senator Beach’s opponent outrageously claims that if you are a member of, or associated with, a local lead or job networking group, you should not run for office. Senator Beach understands that local small business owners are the backbone of our economy, and that membership in networking groups is about how to grow your business, not politics. If Barlow ran a business in our county, rather than in China, he would know how local networking groups help Cherokee businesses prosper and create jobs.
We in Cherokee county need to tell Barlow that we agree with Senator Brandon Beach. We want less government, not the lobbyist-driven policies that Barlow supports. We want Senator Beach’s real solutions, not Barlow’s insults and foolishness.
