Rotary Club Of Canton Sets Goals For Year At Club Assembly

CANTON, GA — The Rotary Club of Canton held its annual Club Assembly this month to set goals for the next year.

President Stacey Williams outlined plans to increase member engagement, attract new members, and grow fundraisers – which together will expand the Club’s impact in the community and worldwide.

“There is still much work to do, and we’re going to do it together,” he said.

Goals were outlined for the Club’s five “Avenues of Service” by those chairs: Club (Clark Cordner), Community (Shane Moore), International (Rebecca Johnston), Vocational (Peter Gleichman) and Youth (April Rogers), and by Membership Chair Shane Burr.

Highlights included plans for the Club’s first-ever cornhole tournament, an “Each One, Bring One” membership drive, new community service projects, greater opportunities for networking and fellowship, and plans to improve how members keep up with the Club’s operations and opportunities for engagement.

Ms. Johnston also shared that the Club will continue to support the Georgia Rotary Student Program for foreign-exchange college students; this year’s Cherokee County/East Cobb student is Cristina Garcia of Colombia, who will attend Kennesaw State University.
