Sixes Living Magazine Renamed To Around Canton
The name change reflects AroundAbout Local Media coverage and reach, its president said.
CANTON, GA -- In response to Sixes Living magazine’s expanding area of distribution and coverage, the magazine has been renamed Around Canton, the publication’s parent company, AroundAbout Local Media, said Friday.
AroundAbout Local Media, which was named 2016 Cherokee Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, also produces Around Woodstock, Around Acworth and the TowneLaker, the company’s 20-year-old flagship publication.
ALM publications reach 66,300 readers across Cherokee, Cobb and Paulding counties each month, with 49,800 distributed in Cherokee County.

“Since Sixes Living continues to add more news and information involving the city of Canton, this was a logical move,” said ALM President Patty Ponder. “Our magazine is distributed across a section of Canton, including the Sixes Road corridor, east to Holly Springs and to the intersection of Highway 140 and Hickory Road in Hickory Flat.
“Changing the name to Around Canton makes the magazine more reflective of its coverage and reach, and links to our AroundAbout titles that we currently publish, including any we may add in the future.”

ALM recently acquired Around Acworth, giving the media group its first publication outside Cherokee County.
“We are constantly looking for ways to better serve our readers and advertisers,” Ponder added. “And the response we have gotten is very positive. We have developed a unique model for community magazines that is working as well in Cobb and Paulding counties as it has worked in Cherokee.”
ALM publications focus on local people, events, schools and community news while offering businesses an affordable, hyperlocal advertising opportunity.
