This money was to be put towards the scholarship fund that the auxiliary department granted to college students pursuing a career in the allied medical field. With the passing of Johnson, the scholarship was named after her.
"Prior to her death she was known for her love and passion for the auxiliary department," the hospital said. "She especially loved the scholarship fund and would always donate money towards it."
