Tag Renewal Kiosks Come To Cherokee County
The Georgia Motor Vehicle Division's kiosks are located at Kroger on Hickory Flat Highway in Canton and Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock.
CANTON, GA — If you are like many Cherokee County residents, finding the time to visit the local Tax Commissioner's Office to renew your vehicle's registration can be challenging. To help make this process more convenient, the Georgia Department of Revenue Motor Vehicle Division is expanding its self-service kiosks to two Kroger stores in the county.
These self-service kiosks are now located at Kroger at 6766 Hickory Flat Highway in Canton and 2295 Towne Lake Parkway in Woodstock. The kiosks provide you with the chance to renew vehicle tags on weekends, after hours or while you make a trip to the grocery store (For more news like this, find your local Patch here. “We are excited to partner with Intellectual Technology, Inc., and provide our customers with an additional convenience to enhance their shopping experiences,” said Felix Turner, corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “With self-service kiosks placed in convenient locations, Georgia vehicle owners can now conduct vehicle registration business while picking up their groceries, with only minimal added trip time.

Customers using the kiosks can scan their Georgia's driver's license or enter their registration details to get started. The touch-screen prompts allows residents to complete the process in about two minutes, the state contends.
Georgia MVD self-service kiosks accept payment by credit or debit cards. Instructions and voice prompts in English or Spanish also make the kiosks as easy to use as an ATM. You can view a complete listing of where the kiosks are by clicking here.
