Team Blake 5K Raises $3,700 For Sheriff's Deputy's Family

The money will help Cherokee sheriff's deputy Frank Jones and his family pay for medical bills for his son's treatment.

Canton, GA -- Cherokee Sheriff’s Office investigator Kristen Zapp presented Deputy Frank Jones with a $3,707.15 check on Friday the sheriff’s office headquarters in Canton.

The money was proceeds from the Team Blake 5K, an initiative Zapp organized in December to assist Jones and his wife Tabatha with medical bills following the birth of their son Blake Owen Jones in July.

Blake had to spend roughly three months in the hospital following complications with his birth, but is home now home with his family.
